Short answers for the questions that come up most.
Taking better before and after photos
- Stand in the same spot for both photos. A fence post or doorway makes a good marker.
- Hold the phone the same way round both times. Portrait suits Instagram best.
- Shoot in daylight if you can, and wipe the lens.
- Photo came out sideways? Use Rotate in the Photos step.
Which format should I use?
The animated wipe suits Instagram Reels, Stories and TikTok. The carousel suits the feed when people will swipe through. The split-screen is the quickest single image, and works well on Facebook.
Posting to Instagram
- Download your post from the Review step.
- Copy the caption.
- In Instagram, start a new post, pick the file (for carousels, pick the images in number order) and paste the caption.
Customer photos and privacy
Always ask before posting a customer’s property. Blur faces and number plates using the Privacy tab on each photo. Location data is removed automatically when you upload.
